Some major additions to the website this time. What's new? Well, lemme tell ya
The last few months have been a flurry of activity for me. Consequently, my skin has a certain alabaster cast from not having seen the sun in FOREVER.
As I write this long-awaited update, here's the current tally:
Chuck
Dixon and I recently wrapped up BATGIRL:
YEAR ONE. Penciler Marcos Martin and inker Alvaro
Lopez are currently hard at work catching up with us. Visitors
to the summer comic cons just might glimpse a sneak peek at the
various DC
Comics panels. In the meantime, cast your eyes to the
right

| Now, in addition to the other work on my plate, I found time to see STAR WARS: EPISODE TWO - ATTACK OF THE CLONES at my local theater. Twice. The first time was for sheer enjoyment. The second viewing was research. Check out the forthcoming STAR WARS TALES #13 from Dark Horse Comics. Artist Sanford Greene and I spotlight Jedi Master Mace Windu (he of the funky purple lightsaber) in an 8-page short story. Finally I'm able to justify all those toy-hunting trips to Toys R Us. |

As promised, I'm now able to provide a
true SNEAK
PEEK at SUPERMAN:
THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE MAN OF STEEL. If you wanna just click on over to that page and
peruse the advance look, courtesy of DC Comics and Dorling Kindersley, my feelings won't
be hurt a bit. [Superman and logo and © DC Comics. All rights reserved.]
In a long ago posting I made mention of a forthcoming trivia contest with prizes including signed copies of BATMAN: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE DARK KNIGHT and the ROBIN: YEAR ONE trade paperback among others.
The bad news is that I haven't had sufficient time to do the contest
justice.
The good news is that I haven't forgotten about it.
A few days ago, I received my
first copy of SUPERMAN: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE MAN OF
STEEL
which inspired me to make the contest a "World's
Finest" trivia event. So, when I obtain my obligatory
comp copies of the new book, I'll set aside a worthy prize package
and offer up the new volume before it's commercially available,
in addition to some older signed favorites. So start rubbing those
thinking caps for luck
I said in the MESSAGE BOARD and I'll reiterate it here also. I have tentative plans to attend both Wizard World Chicago and the San Diego Comicon. My travel itineraries aren't firmly established yet, and other commitments might intercede. I'll post more info as we get closer to the actual convention dates.
Finally,
by the time you read this, CrossGen Comics will have announced that
I'll be taking over the writing reins of RUSE beginning
with issue #13. Click here for the full story on my own much-anticipated
collaboration with Butch Guice, Mike Perkins, and
Laura DePuy!
Best,
Alternative energy sources and other broken promises.
