HARDY-HAR-HARWith October finally here, the Message Board is abuzz with thoughts and opinions on JOKER: LAST LAUGH. Feel free to weigh in on the final days of the Clown Prince of Crime and his gaggle of giggling super-baddies.
A reminder though: Due to the airline shutdowns of over a month ago, JOKER: LAST LAUGH SECRET FILES #1 was pushed back a week or two because final color separations were delayed in shipping to the printer. The 30-page lead in that special ish is very much germane to the entire LAST LAUGH storyline and its ending, plus reveals some key information regarding how and why the Joker has a mad-on for the entire world! Some of the issues have sold out already, so reserve your copies ASAP!

YEAR ONE will be a nine-issue offering, presented in the
same format as Batman: Dark Victory, and will see
print in 2002.

On September 23, I had the pleasure of appearing at the first-ever Scranton Comic Book Convention held at the Clarion Hotel in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I spent the preceding night and hours at the Con catching up with good friends and collaborators Chuck Dixon (yeah, that guy again), Graham Nolan (REX MORGAN, M.D. and THE PHANTOM) and Tom Derenick (the forthcoming NIGHTSIDE from Marvel).
Chuck was nice enough to publish a detailed account of our misadventures on the Message Board. My thanks to Con organizer Joe Figured and to all the fans who visited Northeastern, PA to say hello and support comics in a BIG way!
My next convention appearance will be at next month's Mid-Ohio Con, scheduled for November 24 and 25 at the Hilton Columbus at Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. The guest list is enormous! For more info, just click on the link.
Finally, I'd just like to encourage everyone to keep the American servicemen and women at home and abroad in your thoughts and prayers in the coming months. Take the time to thank your local police, firefighters, and National Guard for just being there. These men and women are TRUE heroes and inspirations to us all.
